Privacy Policy

Summary

Pregnancy Tools is a free utility website. We do not require accounts, we do not sell personal data, and we do not ask you for any health information. You can decline non-essential cookies using the banner at the bottom of any page.

What you type into the calculators

This matters more here than on most sites, so to be explicit: nothing you enter into a calculator is sent to us. Dates, weights, heights, and cycle lengths are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere. We never see them and we do not store them.

The one exception stays on your device too: the contraction timer saves your history in your browser's local storage so it survives a page refresh mid-labour. That data never leaves your device and clearing your browser data removes it.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly all websites, our server logs basic request data: IP address, browser user-agent, the URL requested, and a timestamp. These logs are kept for up to 30 days for security and debugging, then deleted.

Cookies and third-party services

Google AdSense

We display advertising via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at www.google.com/settings/ads. In the EEA, UK, and California, ads are non-personalised by default until you accept cookies via our banner.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to see which pages are visited and how the site performs. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. The data stays on our own server and is never sold or shared. We do not use Google Analytics.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have rights including:

• The right to know what personal data we hold about you (none, beyond server logs)
• The right to deletion (server logs auto-delete; ad cookies and stored contraction history can be cleared in your browser)
• The right to opt out of personalised advertising, via the consent banner

To exercise any of these, email hello@pregnancytools.net.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
